Glastonbury 1 Eurovision nil poi

At first thought , Glastonbury may have raised an eyebrow by organising the event on the same night as Eurovision, However in Hindsight they probably pulled off a genius masterstroke as not doubt they avoided another UK television humiliation. So while many watched the live stream of Coldplay, Haim and Wolf Alice. Terrestrial Tv viewers were researching how many different languages you can say nil poi in Europe. Even Ireland didn't give us a paddle but to be fair, you cant keep defending the indefensible. I'm sure if James Newman had the choice to swap places with Chris Martin who was singing to an empty field in the pouring rain, he would have.

The festivals that have decided to go ahead, have done so at huge risk as insurers have been cautious about covering due to the high risk involved. We are now now over twelve months into the pandemic and well used to talk about variants threatening infection figures. With that in mind , the festival organisers that decided to go ahead have no doubt been looking anxiously hoping for things to go quiet. However with the news of a new fast spreading variant found in the UK this may lead to further tough decisions having to be made over the coming months. DMX legacy to music

After the recent passing of record breaking Rapper DMX, we take a look at the influence he has had that has inspired a generation of young rappers trying to emulate his mass success towards the back end of the nineties and beyond. If the rap antics of Puff Daddy and Will Smith felt like a softening approach to the Eighties trailblazers then DMX brought this back to earth with a bump scoring five number one Billboard albums and bringing Hardcore rap and creating a second wave of popularity to the US market for something with added venom. For an artist like DMX, managing to keep your music in the commercial mainstream whilst keeping your credibility is probably the single biggest balancing act one could imagine and sadly many have failed. It takes huge talent to breakthrough in the congested US rap scene but only the very special can stay at the very top level for so long.
