The organisers of Sundays badly arranged AJ Tracey Manchester gig have been fined £10,000 for Covid safety breaches. Too many people turned up at the event which had to be cancelled at the last minute due to concerns. The rapper had already performed in Birmingham that day and was due to move on to Bristol afterwards, however the latter was cancelled upon the crowds witnessed at Manchester. Current restrictions allow only six people to meet up outside and the event brought a stark warning from Greater Manchester Police warning "Not to flout the lifting of restriction". Later that day AJ posted a twitter video apologising to fans and vowing to perform when it is safe to do so.

The Manchester event which was due to take place on Platts Field park was subject to concern when members of the public started reporting and filming the crowds with photos appearing on social media and shorty before 3pm police took swift action. Police confirmed "enquiries established that a music event was being held" and the organiser of the gathering was given a Fixed Penalty Notice of £10,000".
