The entrants for the 2021 Eurovision song contest look set to be required to make the trip to the Netherlands this year, despite the worldwide pandemic. The event organisers have plans in place to accommodate the artists from 41 countries , who will be accompanied by delegations of around twenty people at the event planned for May. Commentators will have ventilated booths under the plans. The event was cancelled in 2020 and entrants this year had been asked to produce a performance live on tape due to the uncertainty around travel. The artists , many of whom were scheduled to compete last year have been requested to provide an alternative song offering to last year. It is still undecided if audience will be allowed to view the event with arguments for and against. In making key decisions, the event organisers have consulted other big worldwide event organisers to draw from their experiences.
