A song that leaves you wanting more Wine

Five piece band 'Regen' have released their first song to streaming services a few days ago and have hit the mark with the debut named 'Wine'. With echoed haunting vocals and a reflective tone, Regen have produced something quite special here. It is the kind of music you might associate with a long late night drive on an empty highway.  There's deep emotional resignation in the lyrics which include  'I’ve got the place to myself, I bought you this dress, I won’t wear it unless you’re there, your there'. The song is very well written and produced with a great video. With a combination of acoustic and electric guitars, there's the slightest hint of a retro influence but mixed with something unique, cool and effortlessly understated.

Regen are a Slovenian band from Ljubljana and have only been playing and recording music together since September of 2019. With opportunities for live gigs limited due to the pandemic they have been busy writing songs targeting an album release in the first quarter of 2022. The plan includes releasing two more singles by summer and possibly another couple by the end of the year. I think we can probably expect more contemplative melancholic sounds from these guys but for now here's the link to 'Wine'- Regen - Wine (official video) - YouTube
