Singer Jess Glynne has issued  an Instagram apology for comments in a podcast interview last week. The 31 year old who has had seven UK chart and US billboard number one singles, appeared on Mo Gilligan's podcast last week recalling an account about visiting  a transgender club, in which the comments were made. The podcast later aired online attracting criticism. In her Instagram post she says "Firstly i want to say that i am wholeheartedly sorry". She later adds " I know that in this case, sorry is not nearly enough, throughout my life i have made a lot of mistakes and what i have come to know is that the only benefit to making one is to learn from it.". Trans Pride organisers have said that her apology "Is a step in the right direction" but made it clear that there was still work to do.
