There are truly some weird things going on in the charts these days. At Christmas we had George Michael going to number one after more than three decades after the release, now we have an album topping the US pop album chart from Janet Jackson 35 years after its release. The 1986 Album titled 'Control' was propelled to number one following the Britney Spears saga which resulted in an apology from Justin Timberlake over his treatment of Britney and Janet. During Superbowl 2004 and while performing together Timberlake was responsible for Jackson exposing a breast and this was something that was seen to have a negative effect on Jackson's career while Timberlake seemingly escaped unscathed. Jackson's album originally went to Number one in the 1986 billboard charts when it was originally released.
